Western takes pride in supporting economic development both locally and in the surrounding counties. Western provides opportunity for businesses to purchase or lease property for their ventures and possibly receive financial assistance in doing so.
Western has received Rural Economic Development Loan and Grant monies to both pass through to Rural Development projects, and to fund Western’s Revolving Loan Fund. A total of $464,000 has been loaned to Western as loans to be repaid. An additional $784,000 has been received to loan to projects, and as they have been paid back, to fund the Revolving Loan Fund. Western has also contributed an additional $156,800 to the Revolving Loan Fund. Projects have ranged from private business loans to city and county projects as well.
