Western Cooperative Electric offers members multiple convenient options for paying your electric bill. See below for the available options and choose the one that works best for you. There are no additional convenience fees to participate in any of the bill payment options.
Take control of your electric account with SmartHub mobile and Web apps. With SmartHub, you view your usage data where and when you want to and you can manage your account right from your computer or mobile device.
A mobile app may be downloaded from Google Play or Apple store, look for Western Coop Mobile App to make payments via a smartphone.
To pay your bill by phone, call 1-844-936-2700. We accept Visa, Mastercard, or Discover debit or credit cards. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For accounts with multiple services, suggest using the SmartHub or calling back during normal business hours.
No deposit. No late fees. No due date. No monthly statements. You choose when and how much electricity to purchase.
To apply, please fill out the Prepay Power Contract, and return it in person or via mail or email to Western.
Automatic payments offer members a convenient payment method, ensuring your payment will never be late again. You will continue to receive a monthly billing statement to let you know your account balance. If you have signed up for paperless, you will not receive a paper billing statement but will be able to login to your account to view the information there. See below for more information on the different types of automatic payments available to you.
To take advantage of bank draft, call the Western Cooperative Electric office in WaKeeney at 1-800-456-6720 or 785-743-5561 with your bank routing number and account number for your checking or savings account, or you may email or mail a deposit slip or voided check to Western Cooperative Electric. Bank Draft payments will be withdrawn from your account on the due date only.

Recurring Credit Card Payment
Another great option to guarantee that you won’t be late on a payment is a recurring credit card payment. This allows you to pay your bill each month by a stored valid credit or debit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, or Discover cards. Call 1-800-456-6720 or 785-743-5561, and one of our Customer Service Representatives will be happy to assist you in enrolling for this option. You can choose the day your Recurring Credit Card Payment happens. It can be set up to charge to your card on any date between the day we print your bill and the due date on your bill. Please notify Western whenever there is a change in credit card information.
You may pay your monthly bill from Western Cooperative Electric by remitting a check, cashier’s check or money order by mail to PO Box 278, WaKeeney, KS 67672. Please do not send Cash.
Payments may be made in person at the Western Cooperative Electric Association office in WaKeeney, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. For your convenience, there is a drive-up drop box located at the WaKeeney location in front of the building.
