Tim Stanton receives Board Leadership Certificate

Western Cooperative Electric is proud to recognize Trustee Tim Stanton for earning the Board Leadership Certificate (BLC) through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).

The Board Leadership Certificate recognizes electric cooperative directors who are committed to developing their skills as effective board leaders. The program provides continuing education focused on cooperative governance, leadership, strategic thinking, and the responsibilities of serving on an electric cooperative board.

As a member-owned cooperative, Western Cooperative Electric is guided by a Board of Trustees elected to represent the interests of its members. Trustees play an important role in providing oversight, making strategic decisions, and helping shape the cooperative’s future.

Continuing education is an important part of that responsibility. Through NRECA educational opportunities, directors gain a deeper understanding of the electric cooperative industry, emerging challenges, governance practices, and the issues affecting the communities and members they serve.

Stanton’s achievement reflects his commitment to continued learning and effective leadership. The knowledge and perspective gained through ongoing education can be brought back to the WCE boardroom, helping trustees make informed decisions on behalf of the cooperative’s membership.

Western Cooperative Electric appreciates Stanton’s dedication to professional development and his willingness to invest his time in becoming a stronger cooperative leader.

Congratulations to Tim Stanton on earning his Board Leadership Certificate, and thank you for your continued service and commitment to Western Cooperative Electric and its members!
