About the W.O.R.K (Western Opportunities for Rural Kansas) Scholarship

Western Cooperative Electric proudly supports young professionals who are building their futures in rural Kansas. The W.O.R.K. Scholarship provides $1,000 toward student loan or school debt for eligible individuals living and working within our service territory after completing postsecondary education. This program reflects our commitment to keeping our communities vibrant by welcoming back the next generation of leaders, workers, and neighbors who make western Kansas home.

If you have current student loan debt and reside within the Western Cooperative Electric Service Area - please have your WCE Account Number and apply below: Applications for 2026 will be due August 1, 2026. Thank you for using your post-graduate expertise to strengthen our Western service territory.

You will also need to upload this Individual Photo Release Form so we have permission to use your photo if you win.

If you upload a Professional Photo taken by someone else - this Professional Photo Release Form must also be uploaded with your application.
