WaKeeney, KS, July 22, 2024 – Western Cooperative Electric announced the upcoming retirement of General Manager Tom Ruth. After a distinguished career marked by dedication and exceptional leadership, Ruth will be stepping down at the end of the year.
Western Cooperative Electric has initiated a comprehensive search for the next CEO, partnering with Ken Holmes Executive Search Firm based in Salina to identify a successor who will continue the cooperative’s legacy of excellence and member-focused service. Reflecting on his time with Western Co-op, Tom Ruth expressed his gratitude, stating, “It has been an incredible honor to serve the members of Western Cooperative Electric for the past seven years. Tom Ruth joined Western Cooperative Electric in 2018 and has been instrumental in driving the cooperative’s growth and success. His commitment to safety and operational excellence has ensured best practices were adopted and utilized under his tenure.
